21 Things I’ve Learned | Pieces of me

I turned 22 this year, and to celebrate my 21 years of life, I compiled a list of 21 lessons I’ve learned along the way. Check them out and share your favorite takeaway!

❤ Here they are ❤

  1. Wisdom is the best thing anyone can learn and practice.
  2. Always carry an umbrella if there is rainy weather on the forecast. Just in case.
  3. Vanilla Soy milk is paired best with Matcha as a latte.
  4. Traveling has the ability to expand your thinking and approach to the world around you.
  5. Life has a way of signaling when it’s time to change.
  6. I’m not a fan of truffle oil in the slightest.
  7. Discernment is your best friend. Use it.
  8. Laughing at the random, funny scenarios in your head in public makes my heart swell like none other.
  9. I don’t think I’ll ever get used to cold weather despite living in the Midwest for a greater portion of my life.
  10. Gossip Girl (2007) is one of the best teen shows to ever exist.
  11. People will come and go but you have permission over access to the door.
  12. Set the tone, be the example.
  13. Take that chance. You will be glad that you did.
  14. Listen and observe well.
  15. Keeping a book with you at all times is key.
  16. Style is so creatively subjective and you have the power to change it whenever you would like.
  17. From my mentor: there are two types of weights; weights that keep you anchored and weights that pull you down. Don’t have the latter weights.
  18. Who you surround yourself with says a lot about you.
  19. You are always being perceived.
  20. It’s okay to feel indifferent about things.
  21. If you don’t have answer, that is okay. Don’t force one.
